The Bioscope is proud to once again partner with Alliance Française in Johannesburg to bring you the best in French Cinema every month from Sep 2025 until July 2026.
The Joburg French Cine Club will be on the second Thursday of every month.
Please join us from 6:30pm where your R100 ticket will include a complementary glass of wine. The film will then be screened at 7pm and will feature a short introduction.

THURS 13 Nov 7pm: Z (1969) BOOK NOW. (Last few tickets left!) The public murder of a prominent politician and doctor amid a violent demonstration is covered up by military and government officials. A tenacious magistrate is determined not to let them get away with it.
THURS 11 Dec 7pm: Les Choristes (The Chorus) BOOK NOW. An Academy Award and Golden Globe nominated film. Pierre, a successful orchestra conductor, returns home when his mother dies. He stumbles upon an old diary and recollects the childhood school memories and his music teacher Clement Mathieu.
