2025 PROGRAMME
THURS 7 Aug 6pm: Dreaming of the Meridian Arc BOOK NOW. To revitalise their sleepy town, the municipal office launches a historical drama TV series focused on local hero, Tadataka Ino, known for having made the first map of Japan in the 1800s. An entertaining comedy that flits between modern times and the Edo era.
SAT 9 Aug 10:30am: The Wonderland BOOK NOW. A beautifully animated fantasy fiction based on a children’s book. The day before her birthday, Akane opens a door to a secret world. An enigmatic alchemist and his apprentice guide her through the fantastical place determined to see her fulfil the prophesy of restoring their kingdom.
SAT 9 Aug 2pm: Ito BOOK NOW. Ito, a shy high school girl from the countryside missing her deceased mother and struggling to get on with her father, impulsively applies for a job at a maid café. It brings her out of her shell and gives her the confidence to fight for what she cares about.
SUN 10 Aug 2pm: The Fish Tale BOOK NOW. A quirky tale based on the endearing ichthyologist (fish scientist) and Japanese TV personality, “Sakana-kun”.
