The Bioscope is proud to once again partner with Alliance Française in Johannesburg to bring you the best in French Cinema every month from Sep 2025 until July 2026.
The Joburg French Cine Club will be on the second Thursday of every month.
Please join us from 6:30pm where your R100 ticket will include a complementary glass of wine (except for June 2026 where it will be R90 and not include wine). The film will then be screened at 7pm and will feature a short introduction.

(Presented in collaboration with The Encounters Documentary Film Festival) Filmmaker Namir Abdel Messeeh uses cinema to reconstruct his mother’s life after her death, blending memory, footage, and fiction to explore grief, identity, and the enduring presence of images.
