30 NOV. 6pm CARTOLA BOOK NOW. Documentary on the life and times of one of the most prominent Brazilian samba composers, Cartola (Angenor de Oliveira).
1 DEC. 6pm CAZUZA BOOK NOW. (BIOPIC). The life and times of Cazuza, Brazilian singer/poet/enfant terrible, from his start with rock group “Barão Vermelho”, to his death from Aids, in 1990, showing his career, love affairs, and involvement with drugs.
5 DEC. 4pm GONZAGA BOOK NOW. (BIOPIC). The story of Brazilian popular singer Luiz Gonzaga and his son Gonzaguinha.
7 DEC. 6pm NOEL BOOK NOW. The biopic of Noel Rosa, one of the best Brazilian poets and composers.
8 DEC. 6pm O MISTÉRIO DO SAMBA BOOK NOW.
9 DEC. 6pm VINICIUS BOOK NOW. Documentary about Brazilian songwriter and poet Vinicius de Moraes, showing his life, work, family, friends, and love-affairs.
